Lachi takes the stage at the UN Chamber Music Society ceremony

Held in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the United NationsHarmony brought together leading electronic and global artists for a unique orchestral reinterpretation of their work, broadcast worldwide on December 17, 2025.

The programme featured internationally acclaimed artists, including Lachi, Paul van Dyk, ARTBAT, Kiesza, KSHMR, Sultan + Shepard, Julio Victoria, Francis Mercier, and Mr Tout Le Monde, all reinterpreted through classical arrangements.

Within a lineup of global stars, Lachi’s performance emerged as one of the most meaningful highlights of Harmony. Her orchestral rendition of We Be Stars reflected themes of perseverance, hope, and self-belief, messages that resonate deeply in today’s world.



Lachi is widely recognised as a multi-genre singer, songwriter, and disability rights advocate. Known for blending pop, electronic, and soul influences, she has built a career rooted in authenticity and social impact.

Beyond her music, Lachi is a leading voice in accessibility and inclusion in the entertainment industry. As a legally blind artist, she has consistently used her platform to advocate for equity, representation, and opportunity for creators with disabilities. Her work has earned recognition from major institutions and positioned her as both a cultural leader and a changemaker.

Representing Africa on the global programme, Lachi performed her song We Be Stars, newly arranged for orchestral performance by the UN Chamber Music Society.

Her performance stood out as a celebration of resilience, empowerment, and unity, core values that align closely with the mission of the United Nations. Through her music, Lachi brought a deeply personal and universal message to the global stage, reflecting both cultural pride and human connection.
